The Winneshiek interviews are coming together nicely. I got so much content that I absolutely have to cut a lot of it out. There just isn't enough time to cram it all in. I think I'll post the interviews on their own as "uncut" videos. Here's the timeline in Sony Vegas at the moment. I still need to shoot the host segments and lock down some music.

The Old Freeport Public Library
Crews are underway cleaning out the Old Public Library in Freeport. Built in 1902, the library was funded by grants from Andrew Carnegie. It's a bit of a local landmark. It's also haunted. There are stories of people sighting a man in a t-shirt who vanishes before their eyes. The specter seems to be friendly and I wonder if he will still be around when the building becomes the new City Hall. Maybe the resident ghosts will welcome the new faces after their building has sat vacant for several years. I'll have to check up on this after the city folks have moved in.
Renovation is in full swing to remove asbestos to get the building ready to be city hall.

Winneshiek Playhouse Ghosts - Let's make a video about it
This sort of project has been tumbling around in my skull for years and now I'm getting it done. Theater ghosts have a tradition as old as the contents of you canning cupboard. Every stage seems to have one or more spooks flickering lights, moving props or silently watching rehearsals from a favorite seat. The Winneshiek Playhouse in Freeport, IL is no exception. I've volunteered my tech skill set at the theater several times in the last two and a half years but never experience any thing I'd consider "paranormal". Not even when I've been there alone at night. That doesn't mean no one else hasn't seen or heard unexplained things while in the theater. This is why I'm filming a ghost tour-style show for a new Youtube channel. I have shot some b-roll and four interviews thus far and in the process of editing.
The Winneshiek volunteers who shared their spooky stories were great. What really makes Winneshiek a great experience is that it is a community theater. It is quite literally a part of the community. This also means that the community is part of the theater, perhaps from many years gone. Stay tuned and I'll be sharing the video when it's done and also the uncut interviews. Should be fun.
